Partner Chris Spesia was honored to speak at the Community Foundation of Will County’s 2019 Grant Awards Ceremony. Spesia, a member of the Foundation’s Executive and Grants Committee, spoke to the attendees on the significant impact of co-investment in the Foundation’s annual Grant Awards. Co-investment allows donors and community members to participate in specific grants by funding in whole or in part the grant request. Spesia spoke about a personal experience he had with a friend who was receiving hospice care that inspired him and his wife Meredith to co-invest in a grant to Joliet Area Community Hospice to provide hospice training to paramedics.

In 2019, the Foundation awarded nine grants totaling $86,126 for its 2019 Grant Awards. The Spesia & Taylor Charitable Fund also co-invested in the 2019 Grant Awards. Since 2006, the Foundation has awarded grants totaling more than $1.4 Million in support of non-profits across Will County. The attorneys at Spesia & Taylor are proud of their ongoing support for the Community Foundation of Will County with its mission of connecting people who care to causes that matter in Will County.
